Emergency First Aid at Work

The standard course for smaller, low/ medium risk workplaces or for those places needing additional first aiders to complement FAWs (see below). Most First Aid Courses in Cumbria and elsewhere will follow this syllabus. Our certificates are level 3 certificates, QCA recognised, and meeting the HSE First Aid standards. BOOK AN IN-HOUSE COURSE FOR YOUR ORGANISATION

The highest First Aid qualification recognised in the UK (i.e. below Emergency Care/ FREC), the full FAW is ideal for larger workplaces or those with a higher risk. Our certificates are level 3 certificates, QCA recognised, and meeting the HSE First Aid course standards. Includes CPR and AED training. This very comprehensive course has a minimum of eighteen hours of contact time, which are usually delivered over three days. For those with valid in-date FAW certificates, there is the option of a ‘requalification’ course with twelve hours of contact time – usually two days. More Info/ dates…

Emergency Paediatric First Aid

The basic qualification for those who look after children (pre teens). Our certificates are level 3 certificates, QCA recognised, and meeting the HSE First Aid standards and the Ofsted stipulations (however, see below). Includes CPR and AED training. The highest First Aid qualification for those who look after children (pre teens). Note that EYFS settings, such as childcare, nurseries, and primary school reception classes are required by law to have at least one person with this award present at all times, including off-site activities. Our certificates are level 3 certificates, QCA recognised, and meeting the HSE First Aid standards and the Ofsted stipulations. Includes CPR and AED training. Little Bear First Aid Sessions (for parents) (Carlisle & Wigton)

On the first Saturday of the month, we offer free two-hour First Aid sessions for parents covering emergencies and common injuries. These sessions won’t give you a recognised qualification, but they will hopefully give you the confidence to deal with some of the more serious First Aid issues that you might face as a parent. Other First Aid Courses

Activity First Aid. This programme contains the Emergency First Aid at Work Qualification, and is designed for those involved in sports and other active pursuits. QCA recognised Level 3 certificate.

2 Day Course || On-site only: £695 for groups of up to 12 (No VAT to pay)

Basic Life Support. Short session covering the basics of dealing with an unresponsive casualty, including CPR. QCA recognised Level 3 certificate.

3 Hour Course || On-site only: £200 for groups of up to 16 (No VAT to pay)

First Aid for Anaphylaxis. Short session covering anaphylaxis and the use of AAIs (EpiPen, Jext, Emerade). Certificate of attendance from JRA training detailing topics covered.
